When it comes to a wedding there are certain things that matter a lot. The most important thing is obviously that you are marrying the person that you love and will spend the rest of your life with them. After that, it is important that everyone has a good day, and that there are some incredible photos that capture the happiness of the day. As a groom, it is important to understand that this is why the wedding dress is so important. Those photos will be pulled out of the album so often in the future that it is pivotal that the bride is happy with how she looks. You must support her every wish to make this happen. Recently a newlywed posted on Reddit as she was not pleased with how her pictures turned out and she has no idea what to do about it.
The woman (who understandably chose to remain anonymous) paid 1,700 pounds to have a professional photographer come and take photos of what was the greatest moment of her life. It appeared like everything went to plan as the weather was great and the photographer was encouraging throughout. Telling them to keep smiling and that they were doing beautifully. However, when she received the photos weeks later she was not impressed. It was not the photographer who was to blame, it was the groom.
Her new husband is one of those people who whenever there is a camera feels they have to do a funny pose. We all have a friend like this on night’s out who will lift their leg or make a weird face. Many years ago they would have pulled the bunny ears but I think everyone has stopped doing this now. Yet these friends, we hope, at least have the common sense to know that a wedding day is not the place to pull these poses. This may sound harsh and perhaps there is room for one or two funny photos throughout the day. However, the bride in question says she now believes that there are only a handful of photos that can be used. She actually asked her husband to retake them all and he refused. Worse than that he wants to use one of the worst ones as a Christmas card.
He likes the photos and says that they capture the personalities of the couple. However, the real issue is that he appears to be having fun and making faces while the woman is smiling normally. Looking at the photos it appears that she is the one being mocked and that she is completely being made a fool of on her special day. If he had told her what he was doing she could have joined in but neither he nor the photographer mentioned anything. When they were turned in different directions he would pull out finger guns, or tip a fake hat to the camera. He would open his mouth incredibly wide to an unnatural position.
The woman took to Reddit for advice. Was she being too harsh, should she move on, or should she force him to retake the photos that he so clearly ruined. The entire Reddit audience was on her side. They said that what he did clearly overstepped the line and that he should be made to pay.
What a horrible way to start your new life with a husband. It is clear that he is a little childish and maybe she knows and loves this about him but he has gone too far this time. Gentlemen the wedding photos are something that you must never toy with.
