They say a dog is a man’s best friend. In the case of Aaron Benitez, however, things are a little different. It seems he has struck up quite a friendship with a four-legged friend named Prince Michael, his cat.
The bond between the two is so strong that he gave Prince Michael the highest honor of all—the title of Best Man. That’s right. When Aaron married his beautiful bride Michelle, his furry gray feline stood by his side.
Five years prior, the couple adopted Prince Michael and made him part of their blooming family. With time between, the cuddly kitty went from a new pet to an irreplaceable companion.
Because of the social media presence Benitez has, Prince Michael has been in the spotlight for quite some time. The progressing friendship between the two has been videoed on Benitez’s YouTube channel Aaron’s Animals.
If you know anything about Benitez, you will remember his love for all animals is undeniable. But Prince Michael has reserved an irreplaceable part of his heart. Several videos are spotlighting the love the two have for one another.
It only made sense when their big day came around to suit him up like the rest of the wedding party. Prince Michael’s adorable tuxedo was tailor-made to fit him. According to attendees, the cat took his role in the ceremony very seriously.
Michelle and Aaron took a special interest in making this kitty the epicenter of the event. They specifically looked for venues that allowed cats when choosing where the celebration would be. There is even a photo of Benitez and Prince Michael sharing a dance and a smooch.
When asked how guests responded to Prince Michael’s participation, Benitez replied, “They all loved it! I mean, who doesn’t want their pet at their wedding?”
Michelle added to that, saying, “Michael’s a huge part of our lives and really important to us. It would have almost been weird to not have him on our wedding day.”
Benitez does caution others who are considering adding their pets to their wedding party. He makes note that the best pets to include are calm and totally relaxed with chaos and crowds. If you have a more nervous or unsocial animal, it may not work out as well.
Prince Michael is a calm, cool, and collected socialite, however. He had no problem soaking up the attention and standing firm in the spotlight.
Needless to say, this event won’t be the felines grand finale. Benitez plans to keep his fluffy companion by his side in future filming for his channel. Who knows what else Prince Michael can accomplish?
